Our Story
Garden Variety fulfills a long time dream of chef owner Jeff Wampler to have his own restaurant. After founding and running a successful Silicon Valley catering business for 10 years, Jeff is excited to get back to the fast paced restaurant environment where he started his culinary journey twenty years ago.
Garden Variety uses the best local ingredients to create vibrant and flavorful lunches that prove healthy food can look and taste great.

Directly behind Garden Variety is one of the most unique and beautiful outdoors spaces in Berkeley. The Rose Garden offers our customers a chance to enjoy al fresco dining surrounded by beautiful roses. Additionally the Rose Garden can be booked for private events in the late Afternoon/evening.
